Choir & Praise

Choir

The choir comprises approximately 20 members and will lead worship at least two Sundays each month. The choir is an SATB choir and meet for rehearsal at specific times of the year like Harvest Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. They will occasionally join our praise group for special services throughout the year and sing a mix of traditional and contemporary anthems. We tend to enjoy Casting Crowns arrangements every bit as much as a John Rutter composition. Rehearsals are usually on a Wednesday night at 7pm and anyone interested in joining choir can contact Sam to be added to the Text message/What’s App group.

Praise Group

The Praise Group have been heavily involved in the development of our Contemporary worship. They were instrumental in the creation of our popular Community Carols Service and last year we also added a Contemporary Easter celebration. Our focus is on bringing new, theologically sound songs to our congregation. The current group is made up of Keys, Drum-Kit, Bodhran, Cajun, Bass Guitar, Lead Guitar, Violin, Tin Whistle and vocals. We enjoy the usual Getty hymns as well as Matt Redman, Rend Collective and City Alight to name but a few. We meet on a Saturday evening or Sunday morning for rehearsal (or sometimes both!). Again, we are always keen to expand this group or even create a second praise team that could share the load.
